Key Duties

  1. To Service VW vehicles according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  2. To carry out fault diagnosis and repair vehicles – measured on fix right first time.
  3. To take steps to ensure servicing of vehicle, remains within the targeted percentages of the manufacturers' time.
  4. To discuss matters with service advisors and customers as required and provide lucid explanations.
  5. To ensure standards maintained with vehicle care and safety whilst performing functions.
  6. To ensure vehicles are returned to the customer after service in a neat and clean condition.

Admin Duties

  1. To complete forms and documentation included in the company's service routine.
  2. To draft and prepare any reports required.
  3. To log servicing steps as prescribed.
  4. Complete all job cards accurately and timeously.
  5. Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks and evaluate their technical ability.
  6. Ensure effective communication with staff, across departments, with customers and service providers.
  7. Willingness to participate in marketing campaigns when required for the furtherance of the business.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

  1. OEM required technical training course successfully mastered, Porsche, BMW or Mercedes training is also acceptable.
  2. Problem solving and moto vehicle fault finding skills.
  3. Mental alertness.
  4. Meticulous.

  10. Need excellent - Fix right first-time track record.

  13. 2 - 3 Year VW commercial technician experience.
  14. Must be English literate and have writing skills.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Grade 12
  • N6 trade certificate or Olifantsfontein motor mechanic trade papers or must be qualified on the CBMT level system.
  • The following qualifications will be advantageous: Health and safety related qualification, VWSA training.

PARTS COUNTER SALES EXEC

Short Description: To issue and ensure availability of part to the service department, counter and telesales customers. Ensure operational quality and increase parts sales turnaround time, through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed operating standards and procedures.


  1. Capture parts transactions on the Kerridge accounting system and the original equipment manufactory system called ETKA.
  2. Ensure fast moving parts order is automated by the system.
  3. Ensure stock levels are maintained for availability purposes to be distributed to internal customers.
  4. Pick parts accordingly, and issue to technician timeously as per job cards.
  5. Provide advice and report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making.
  6. Order parts not kept in stock once authorised by Service advisor.
  7. Accurately reconcile transaction records of parts, products and accessories in order to enable verification of the validity of transactions.
  8. Adhere to legal compliance to the FICA regulation, POPI Act, Customer Protection Act, Health and Safety requirements.
  9. Resolve workshop complaints, ensuring problems are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
  10. Monitor and report on trends and anomalies in respect of parts, products and accessory consumption and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Contribute to a culture of customer service excellence, which builds positive relationships & provides opportunity for feedback & exceptional service

  • Higher Certificate and or /Advance National (Vocational) Certificate with NQF Level 5.
  • Minimum 5 Years VW AND AUDI Parts Sales experience.
